Eclipse Hill Country Fishing
### Family gathering at the in-laws in Belton for the eclipse
Started things off in Georgetown. We finally got to stop by Living Waters Fly Shop, picked up some flies for a couple days of fishing while we were there. Then we went to brushy creek for a little wade fishing.
MJ is a pro sight fisher. Found a little pool/reservoir of fish that we pulled a few out of. We loved wading around the wagon wheel tracked limestone creek bed. Water was crystal clear, fish were a little skittish.
Exploring around a park entrance to the creek. Not much action here. Did see another fly fisher here.
Finally got some to eat.
Monday morning, day of the "life changing" eclipse me and Brian went to Salado creek for some more wade fishing. Landed like 30-40 fish. Brian got about 10 himself and it was his first time fly fishing.
Weird hybrid fish maybe? Or just a bland giant green sunfish. Either way this ol' boy was a lunker.
